The Calgary Stampede Experience
The Calgary Stampede is known as the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth! It brings the Wild Western city of Calgary alive every year and celebrates the romantic and authentic culture of the Old West. The colours, the sounds, the smells and the energy all make the Stampede an incredible experience. The Calgary Stampede dates change every year, but it is always held around the beginning of July and lasts for 10 days. The next Calgary Stampede will be held between 5th and 14th July 2024.
The biggest draw is the Calgary rodeo, as crowds “Yahoo!” while cowboys and girls take part in steer wrestling and bronco riding. Make sure you book your Calgary Stampede chuckwagon tickets in advance too, as these races are popular. Don’t miss out on the great culinary delights at the show. Head over to the Stampede park and you can indulge in some of the tastiest treats around. Deep-fried cookie dough, fried pickle pizza, poutine burger and red velvet mini doughnuts are a must! Every year you’ll find Stetson-wearing hosts dishing out free pancake breakfasts too. Slathered in maple syrup, they’re a symbol of Canadian Western hospitality.
