Day 1 Fly to Halifax
Welcome to Halifax, Nova Scotia, a city that deftly blends the past with the present! The heart of Halifax is perfect for exploring on foot! It's also a great place to base yourself and take diverse daytrips. Why not explore the city, enjoy your first fresh seafood of the trip and rest up for the night at your hotel. 3 nights in Halifax.
Day 2 Halifax
There is so much you can do in Halifax and its surroundings. Why not go on a whalewatching tour and discover the Marine life of Nova Scotia today? You could also check out Peggy’s Cove, a picture-postcard village, located on rugged Atlantic shoreline, standing on solid rock above the crashing surf. Its lighthouse is the most photographed lighthouse in the world. Enjoy some free time to exploring the rocks, the trails, the village and the gift shops.
Day 3 Halifax
Discover more of Nova Scotia by going along the Lighthouses route. Join a kilted guide in “New Scotland” for an enchanting tour of Lunenburg and Mahone Bay. Explore the South Shore, filled with history of fishing, boat building, the pirates of Oak Island and the rum running along this craggy coastline. Lunenburg is home to Nova Scotia’s largest fishing fleet, the Lunenburg Academy, extraordinary architecture, supreme shops and more. Enjoy a guided walking tour of Lunenburg or entrance to the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic. From Lunenburg, continue with a drive through Mahone Bay, famous for its churches along the shore and its picturesque beauty. There will be plenty of time for exploring these remarkable seaside towns.
Day 4 Fly to St. John's
Fly to colourful St John's to discover Newfoundland & Labrador capital city and its surroundings. St John's is the perfect combination of big-city luxury and traditional small-town charm. It is the oldest and most easterly city in North America, and has become a rare destination full of character and charisma, with a contemporary, sophisticated edge.
Day 5 St. John's
Why not rent a car and walk along a natural pathway surrounded by the sea on both sides to the Ferryland Lighthouse, built in 1870. Pick up the picnic basket at the lighthouse, featuring freshly-made items such as chutney-glazed ham and brie on bread baked on site, crab cakes (in season), orzo and mint salad, dessert and lemonade. Relax and enjoy leisurely picnic by the lighhouse with waves, whales and seabirds.
Day 6 St. John's
This is your last day, Take the time to enjoy the famous YellowBelly Brewery & Public House, the Topsail Heritage Homes and Gardens Walk and the The Anna Templeton Centre for Craft, Art and Design and some last minute shopping before heading back home tomorrow.
Day 7 Fly home - End of the tour
