Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive in Halifax
On arrival, your airport transfer independently to your hotel. Meet your Tour Director over drinks and a light meal. Overnight in Halifax.
Day 2 Halifax to Port-Aux-Basques
Crossing over the Canso Causeway to beautiful Cape Breton Island, board a Marine Atlantic ferry for a relaxing overnight crossing to Port-aux-Basques.
Day 3 Port-Aux-Basques to Port Au Choix
Drive through the Codroy Valley, framed by the Long Range Mountains, the Anguille Mountains and the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. Overnight in Port Au Choix.
Day 4 Port Au Choix to L'Anse Au Clair
Today we board a ferry at St. Barbe and cross the Strait of Belle Island on our way to Labrador. Overnight in L’Anse au Clair.
Day 5 L'Anse Au Clair to St. Anthony
We return to Newfoundland and travel to L’Anse aux Meadows National Historic Site. Overnight in St. Anthony.
Day 6 St. Anthony to Cow Head
Enjoy a whale watching boat tour today. During certain summer months, Titanic-sized icebergs can also be spotted! Overnight in Cow Head.
Day 7 Gros Morne National Park
Explore Gros Morne National Park and embark on a scenic boat tour. Look for whales and bald eagles. Overnight in Cow Head.
Day 8 Cow Head to Gander
Travel through central Newfoundland towards Gander. Evening at leisure. Overnight in Gander.
Day 9 Gander to Clarenville.
A scenic drive along the coast of Notre Dame Bay leads us to the beautiful town of Twillingate. Overnight back in Clarenville.
Day 10 Clarenville
Journey along the Trans-Canada Highway and through Terra Nova National Park, and keep an eye out for wildlife! Overnight at Clarenville.
Day 11 Clarenville to St. John's
We continue on to the intriguing old seaport of St. John’s, our home for the next two nights. Enjoy a city tour. Overnight in St. John’s.
Day 12 St. John's
Travel to Bay Bulls. Enjoy a boat tour in the Witless Bay Ecological Reserve to search for puffins and other sea-birds. Overnight in St. John’s.
Day 13 Fly from St. John's
Time for last-minute shopping and farewells before heading to the airport for your return flight home.
