In the area
The busy marina itself offers plenty of activities to try, from whale watching or grizzly spotting boat tours, to kayaking or scuba diving.
A walk along the seawall along the coast past some lovely parks, will take you into the town of Port Hardy, which has a rich native culture and heritage, shown in its many First Nations shops and art galleries with beautiful paintings, jewellery and crafts as well as the fascinating Port Hardy Museum. There are also several murals dotted around the town, and spotting them makes an interesting walking tour of the area.
