The bustling village of Baddeck is just a few minutes from the hotel on the shores of the vast Bras d’Or Lakes and offers some excellent restaurants, boutiques and galleries, as well as numerous festivals and events.
The Alexander Graham Bell Museum celebrates the famous inventor who chose Baddeck for his holiday home.
There is also a choice of tours on the water, where you can spot puffins, seals and other wildlife, or hire a kayak and explore the waters around Kidston Island with its beach and historic lighthouse.
Uisge Ban Falls Park is twenty minutes away by car and has several trails to the impressive 16m high waterfall.
